Two weeks out; some 2023 favorites
Hey everyone, I’m writing to you two weeks before the next Ask Roulette show at Caveat. Come join me and Eli Bolin and a bunch of strangers. Start your long New Year’s weekend the right way…
Thursday, December 28th, 7pm. Get your early-bird tickets now. (they get a little more expensive if you wait until the day of)
In the meantime, I hope the holiday season is treating you okay, that you’re spending time with loved ones, and perhaps have time to catch up on some reading and listening. And last-minute gift-buying! To that end, below is a smattering of things I loved this year, maybe some inspiration will strike.
But first, step to the side with me, and let me give you an update on my work world. As 2023 has come to a close, and the podcast world has seen some rocky times (trust me, it’s a whole thing) I’ve been feeling, weirdly, more entrepreneurial than ever.
So just this week I launched a new website for my production company, Roulette Productions. I’m heading into 2024 invigorated, strategic, and excited to take on new things.
You can read about it in a post on LinkedIn, which is a social network I joined for the first time three months ago.
And, yeah, check out the new Roulette Productions site, and be in touch if you want to work together.
Okay, now a smattering of year-end things I loved.
Over at my history podcast This Day… we put together a list of books from all the authors we had on the show this year. Check it out, some great titles in here.

Okay, that’s it. Happy Holidays, talk soon, and I do hope to see you on December 28th at Caveat.
And, what the hell, follow me on threads!
